Capturing the Sea

This textile piece embodies a sensorial representation of the sea's textures, drawing inspiration from its diverse tactile qualities to bring a sense of nostalgic comfort. Primarily exploring the weave structures of quilting and double cloth, multiple surfaces were created that blend art with utility. The challenge here was to achieve maximum possibilities in surfaces from the same loom set-up. Woven on a 24 shaft electronic Dobby Loom.
