Molten Gold

HANDWOVEN VARANASI BROCADE | NALLI SILKS

This collection draws inspiration from the precious metal Gold. In the indian context, the allure of gold extends beyond adornment; influencing culture, trade and spiritual beliefs. Crafted in Benaras on a jacquard loom, the sarees use two sets of wefts—silk and zari—to achieve the opulence of tissue in a patterned brocade. Intervention in the finishing process was done to achieve the required drapability and sheen.
